Rift Valley Region

The Rift Valley Province is known as a haven for tourist attraction sites. Such a site is the Mara Triangle. While at the Mara Triangle, you can enjoy the view of the wildebeest migrations. Towards the end of June, one can watch the mesmerizing migration of wildebeests and zebras from Serengeti to the Mara. The excitement is in watching these animals trying to make calculated moves while jumping steep river banks so as to avoid being fed upon by crocodiles. Watching the beauty of nature can cause such a humbling effect on tourists.

The journey to the Rift valley especially from Nairobi is very interesting. The escarpments near Mai-Mahiu on the way to Narok is a site to behold. Additionally, along the Narok road you will get a glimpse of wild animals such as deer and gazelles as well as monkeys. Additionally, the Rift Valley is the home of the rich Masai culture which is very interesting to learn about and be a part of. The Masai from Narok dress n traditional outfits. They are mostly herders and farmers. They put on unique shoes made from rubber material. The Masai’s form groups where they perform rich and interesting traditional dances that are a sight to behold. Additionally, they sell traditional pieces such as their traditional regalia, their scarfs and bracelets as well as nicely made traditional blankets.

Lake Naivasha is the home of the flamingos. It is a beautiful sight for those who love watching birds and nature at its best. The waterfalls at Lake Naivasha is a breath-taking site. It is an ideal place to take curious children who will inevitably struggle to play with the flamingoes by warding them off the shore. The site of the waterfalls is breathe taking and gives you a cool and sensational feeling as you watch the water falling off the cliff.
